Serena is a pirate costume built around a one-piece dress, so getting ready takes one step. A soft white peasant-style top sits above a glossy black satin corset-style waist with criss-cross red ribbon lacing, and below it the skirt flares out in three tiers: black satin, bold red satin, then a red-and-black striped ruffle finished with black lace. It is an easy Halloween costume that reads as a pirate right away.

The ruffled, elasticated neckline can sit on the shoulders or slip off them, and the gathered sleeves end in frilled cuffs. A shirred back panel shapes the waist, and the full skirt adds movement at mini length. Wear it to Halloween parties, costume contests, carnival-themed events or a group pirate look with friends. It also works well for couples Halloween costumes alongside a captain or sailor.
